But yeah I guess the secret is out...what we really do is find a Holiday Inn Express with HGTV...the HGTV part is a must.... check in binge a few hours of HGTV sleep then check out the next morning and go build neighborhoods.

My little dropped a tiny toy down the bathroom sink a month or so ago. I was the one ballsy enough to actually try taking the pipe off to see if it was still in there (motivated of course by the hysterical crying over this damn toy shoe), and I think I walked around like a big shot for 3 days after sucessfully taking it off and putting it back on and not fucking anything up lol.

Also after figuring out how to replace the seal on the toilet. And figuring out that that was even the problem in the first place. And figuring out where the leak in our shower was.

I am now realizing that the bathroom is the center of like 80% of the problems we've had with this house so far.

 

No small feat there tho .... plumbing sucks. Take apart and put back usually ends in a leak somewhere in the clusterfuck of pipes and fittings because you may have sneezed while touching one.

Dude! Matt just found out everyone on the Stratolaunch/ROC project is getting a bonus (out a 1.3 million budget LOL) that increases with the importance of their contribution and timeline they did it on. I just got confirmation that I get to watch someone I know's baby after they have it this summer. I get a baby that I can play with all day then send home at night so that I can sleep. AND I GET TO GET PAID TO PLAY WITH A BABY ALL DAY

 

Meh, some pros are over rated though. There are plenty of plumbers, roofers, tilers, skilled trades people who have been doing shit for 20 years and still suck at it. It really depends.. I would research the shit out of people before I had them do my bathroom. But yeah, you gotta manage your expectations when it comes to that stuff. I would do all the bathroom work except the shower/bath. Toilet and sink aren't bad as long as you aren't moving the connections, but fucking up the tub/shower is pretty easy. You gotta seal all that shit off just right get some vapor barriers and all that jazz. I'd rather have an insured company do that so I can get it replaced when they mess it up. Lol
