Dude I envy you so hard right now. Not having a basement was legit the one big down side to me when we bought this one. Living in Kansas what with the tornadoes and whatnot, basements are nice. And we have like no insulation so it's cold as balls in here right now and our gas bill is almost $200

But my house is pretty and I still love it.

That looks very comfy - does it have wooden floors? Looks like it would. I like old houses with wooden floors.

 

I don't trust myself with a blow torch either, but for simple things like installations and minor repairs, I have had a great experience with Shark Bite fittings. They are stupid expensive for big jobs, but for smaller jobs that involves changing copper connections, these things have saved me hundreds of plumber dollars and I have never had one leak or fail on me either.

It actually doesn't, I was kind of expecting them when I first looked at it, but it's all carpet aside from kitchen/bathrooms. I do want to get wood in the kitchen and my office eventually, at least. But I also love me some carpet.
