When I get back into the office, I'll have my desktop monitor for use. But I suffer from lack of coordination in the real world and I have no reason to suspect that won't follow into the virtual. But it will also help for being able to do school stuff in one and turk in the other.

I have two "desks" in the office right now. One is an old dining table. The other is several short small white cubbies (like $10 each?) from Menard's, and then sturdy white shelving board on top of them. It's not all together right now, but for less than 100 I had a LOT of room, and an L shaped desk (they also have different wood colors as well as white). The cubbies are like 11 inch cubbies, not the "standard" 13 inch ones like IKEA or even lowe's.

 

It is $160 a day now right?

 

I'm a writer/editor these days so I do 90% of my work from a home office. It's just easy to stop and start if I want to catch stuff on turk. I'm also working less hours than I was a few months back (thank goodness).

I like the constant flow of extra cash since I usually get paid on weird schedules from clients. I've also had some really wild differences in income from year to year. I haven't had a major hospitalization in 2 years though, compared to when I was working in a hospital on my feet most of the day, so I like to think I'm saving money in the long term by not wrecking my health all the time.

I have it in me to do something. Just not finding any work on here today. The last week has been great for me, today, not so much...

I've thought about doing something like this with cubes to make my own desk

 

I kinda got the feeling it was dead today. In the small amount of time I was at my computer I caught and did a $2.50 survey, but that was it.

Luckily I made $18 yesterday so it still evens out for my needs.

 

I think we've switched work lives for the time being. One day, we will be back to the natural order.
