2) I know it's tough confronting people. I know it isn't as easy as people make it seem. I don't have social anxiety to that level, but I have a lil bit. I got over it by literally faking it. Faking confidence until I really got there.

My SO has a lot of social anxiety, like almost crippling when I met her. in the 4 years I've known her she's gotten so much better by just that, and having some good support from her family.

You're amazing, you can do anything you put your mind to. Just remember, fake it, you'll make it eventually. And if the first 100 fakes fail and you throw up, #101 will change things. I promise.

 

Just don't speak to them. Breathe in, breathe out. Don't let them wreck all the work you've been doing with the anxiety. Don't encourage the drama - even if you don't mind the online stuff, indulging them doesn't help you in the real world either. When you pretend something doesn't exist, or make yourself believe it isn't an issue, oftentimes it doesn't become one.

And with the bus stop being so public, if they harass you, ignore them, move, move towards witnesses without really saying anything. Don't engage them. Just let them be jerks, and if it's needed, you'll have witness that can prove you were 100% above board.

My dad's youngest sister (about 5yrs younger than me) is a drama queen too. It's how we ultimately handled her. Just pretended she didn't exist anymore, even when she'd call, show up at the house, show up at grandma's when we were there, etc. Now that my grandma is getting older and needing help, her and my dad's dealings are much... calmer than they once were, because basically we walk away when she starts being herself.

Errrr, you're missing the biggest variable: # of windows. Haha.

Shitty box store windows are only $150-250/ea though depending on size. One quote had me at almost $1,200/window. The ones I went with were closer to $700ish/ea (but that includes install which is usually per window and the range on that is god only knows what). Solid mid tier so they actually do something but definitely nothing special. YMMV wildly

We were soooo lucky that they changed the windows in this house right before we moved in. I'd have gone batshit insane dealing with them, because they aren't perfect. Plus, there are 27(?) of them, just on the main level, and, yeah, I'd have gone insane.

My whole house only has 15 windows, and I could totally do one floor one year and one the next or something. Like I was legit thinking for some reason that replacing the windows would be like a $20k job or something

 

The bonuses were worth more than the HITs themselves. Each one.

 

Just because you aren't reacting to it publicly doesn't mean it's not contributing to getting in your head. Seriously, block them. Don't even bother to look.

Also, don't forget, you can always go back to your therapist temporarily if it gets too bad. That's what she is there for.
