I hear that it doesn't have the feel that his mangas have.

 

A lot of people think anime is all either stuff like Naruto or K-On without thinking of all the things in between. There's plenty of anime that people who usually don't watch animated stuff would like if they'd just give it a chance.

Does it have the Enigma of Amigara Fault? I just want "this is my hole, it was made for me" to be animated.

 

Does 12 Kingdoms count as Manga? I already know the answer is no (at least for the translated version I read). Was good shit IMO though

12 kingdoms (Juuni Kokuki) has a manga but it was based off of the light novel. The anime was also based off of the light novel.

 

I look at Anime as Japanese Sci-Fi/Fantasy basically. There's a bunch of dope stuff and a bunch of trash... it's all subjective anyway.

 

I literally stepped away from the anime/manga scene almost a decade ago, and when I finally got around to looking again everything is just so different lol.

The sub groups are gone, and people actually enjoy dubs now because they have quality actors wut

 

We still mock people who prefer dubs, what are you talking about? Crunchyroll killed fansubs, though.

There are less fansub groups working though with most of it getting 'okay' official translations by crunchy and other sources as it airs.

These days fansubs are more about having the best quality video/audio/ typesetting/ timing ect

I thought gg was dead. Last thing I watched by them was Valvrave.

 

I'm sure its changed for the better, when I was into in there was limited selection really, so everyone watched/read the same stuff, ya'll got choices and shit now. I do remember being excited waiting for the next release of like hikaru no go, angeliclayer, and other titles of the time.

Harrumph, back in MY day we had to download our fansubs from irc and it would takes days I tell yas. Both ways in the snow

 

The last show that they worked on was Macross Delta but most of the members are in other groups anyways.
