    Scripts are user-scripts. They can help you to find, get, and complete work on Mturk. There are many mturk userscripts available on greasyfork.org and here as well. Most of the folks who write them are on this board as well so they are good people to ask for help with them.

    Ok that's really helpful. I didn't mind your book at all! I'm here to learn! I've seen Panda tagged on a lot of posts but didn't know how it works or is supposed to work for me (or any of the other ones you mentioned). How do I set it this to work mode?? Sorry for all the newbie questions. Oh, and the penny hits which I've gotten suggestions to do as well for padding... are folks doing quick penny hits that take a minute or less or are they usually lengthy? Just trying to make the best of my time when I get moments to turk.

    Like mini computer programs to help streamline working on mturk.
    Basic categories:

    Scrapers - used to find hits:
    Hit Finder (part of MturkSuite)
    Hit Forker
    Overwatch

    Panda Scripts/Catcher - used to automate accepting hits:
    Hit Catcher (part of MturkSuite)
    Panda Crazy

    Scripts to help complete individual hits:
    These will vary according to the type of hit. The most common are keybind scripts that let you use a number pad instead of clicking bubbles and scripts that clean up the appearance of a hit.


    The best place to start is probably Mturksuite: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/mturk-suite/iglbakfobmoijpbigmlfklckogbefnlf
    It's a chrome extension that combines several useful scripts.

    For other scripts you'll need the tampermonkey extension. That allows you to add and manage browser scripts.

    I'm fairly new too, I Panda 'once' everything that gets exported here, do the ones i qualify for and i manage to get atleast 60 hits a day out of that alone. Do everything available to you, its the only way to taste and find what you like that you can make money at.

    Word of advice though...if you don't clearly understand the directions for something, either leave it alone or only do a few of them. I had 18 rejects in one day for not understanding directions and it took a week and 800 hits to get my approval rate back up to 98%. Lesson learned.

    I'll piggy back on this to add more... You should click those links to learn more, but it'll overwhelm you to learn them all at once (that's what I did when I started turking for a real income - I installed literally everything I could and got super confused, uninstalled everything and started one by one). You should definitely read everything linked, but as a very condensed "cheat sheet" --

    - MTS (MTurk Suite) has a LOT of things in one (hence the name). The two most important things is it will give you a scraper (which auto refreshes hits available at whatever increment and settings you select), and provide you a running count of your daily PE.

    - Overwatch is where you'll store the requesters you like to work for. It will alert you when they post something new and give you a link to it.

    - Panda crazy is where you'll PANDA things (this term used to come from "Preview AND Accept" and even though mturk doesn't use that terminology anymore, it still stuck in our vocabulary). When there's, say, a high paying survey you want to do, you'll put the link (or the GID, which is a string of numbers and letters) into a new job on panda crazy and it will constantly search for that job until it finds it for you. When it finds it for you, it'll go straight into your queue.

    You'll also find exports of work here that look like that ^ and the PANDA link is the one you'll copy and paste to put into pcrazy (under "new job"), or click the button and it'll go to pcrazy (if you have it open). Panda will run it constantly (good for batches), "once" will find it once then turn off (good for surveys), and "search" will search for everything for that requester (doesn't work as well).

    I know it probably sounds overwhelming and scary at first, but the most valuable thing you can do right now is learn it all step by step.

    2. To use work mode, you'd click the hammer and wrench icon to the left and change Thread Mode to work. But only do this if you don't wanna see posts like this. I think it will only show hits if you do that.
    3. The penny hits I suggested are quick and easy (1 yes/no question usually) and not gonna bog you down in low hourly hell. That's why I suggest them. Stay the heck away from p6r, ScoutIt, CopyText, etc. They take way longer than necessary and not worth the headache (or possible rejections, p9r is famous for them).

    Panda is an out-dated term that's stuck around out of habit. It used to be when you tried to accept a hit without opening the preview first, the url would have the words "PreviewANDAccept". People shortened that to panda for conversation. The url no longer says this instead the url with have the words "accept_random".

    The main thing to understand when people talk about running a panda or pandaing a hit is that they're using a script that automatically refreshes that accept link on a set timer. That way the script will constantly be trying to accept the hit for them.

    The tool icon on the left of the screen for the forum has several options in it. I recommend turning off "post jump" for starters. If you change the thread mode to "work" it will hide all posts that don't have a hit export.

    The good penny hits should only take a few seconds each. Customer Interests are a single multiple choice question each.
