Question about taxes. Where do I find my 1099 from mturk?

 

The 5 cent one that was posted about 45 min ago and now is dead.

 

Just in case some people don't know, there are two different Sergey requesters. The Wikitor and centrality and racy Sergey's are generally the good ones. The other ones, not so much IMO. Just a heads up, carry on.

 

don't believe so. they changed it not long ago. if you waited til 20, you didn't pay a fee either through Prolific or Paypal. now you only pay it when you withdraw regardless of the amount

You won't have the wikitor qual. just add the requester ID

 

If you made >$20k last year it'll be in your mailbox, I believe the IRS deadline is end of Feb but you can google to confirm. If you made less than that you wont get one.

 

getting past that threshold is an ongoing challenge

it was supposed to be mailed out by Jan 31. a lot of workers here already got theirs; i did not. sent a few emails to Amazon and got back the standard email that was of no help. they told me to contact Amazon Payments. called them this morning and they said they will re-send it in the mail. apparently there's a way to request it electronically - i can't find that option anywhere on the site

They're required to mail it by the end of January, takes a few days to get to you.

And even if you didn't earn over $20k, you're still required to file without the 1099. Learn more here.

Kidding, obviously, I'm in the 3rd layer of tax filing hell currently with the farm and wish I could just be a dog or something instead for a living.

 

The $16.18 in Algebra and Choice Lab bonuses are going to make some other days look way better. In the meantime, my laziness shows in my PE today.
