I have seen that couple of times before, I like and do not like it at the same time. If they give enough time for a HIT, there will not be any issue at all. They said 20 minutes work with a 40 mins timer. It is fine.

I am against both for long and short timers. Imagine C-Sats has 7 hours timer like Brian Z. 45 mins is enough for them, and by this way you can get diversity.

How is everyone doing today? I've got a few questions, if someone wouldn't mind helping me out. I turked about a year ago but was very impatient and not making much money so I kind of forgot about it, but recently I've picked it back up because I finally built a desktop PC, which makes it a lot easier to do HITs. When I first started I used HIT scraper, but now it seems HIT scraper has been replaced by MTurk Suite? (correct me if I am wrong please). I was just wondering if someone could give me a quick few tips about using MTurk Suite to find HITs, or tell me how I can fix HIT scraper so that when I click links I actually get brought to the preview of the HIT instead of a blank screen of just code. Thanks!

McCombs means Univ. of Texas (their B-school). However, academic requesters should not be blanketly trusted in my experience, as students using the account can abuse them at times. I've worked with students who definitely did this. It's one reason that at times, pay can differ on studies. Missing a disclaimer page can be a tip off. But in this case, Susan B corresponds very likely with a faculty member at McCombs, so should be fine.

 

I went on vacation a week or two ago and ever since I have not seen a single CSAT. Have they stopped doing them? Anyone able to point me in the right direction? Thanks
