The FAFSA was a nightmare with one self-employed parent, too. I ended up giving up trying to do it and paid for a few CC courses out of pocket which would have set me on a solid schedule of getting an AA in like 6 years, but ended up quitting until I was old enough to apply for assistance without parental finances... I think 24 or something.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Matt told me I welded like shit but that it was ok, because I was a cute girl. I can't remember the exact first thing he said to me, but this was within the first few months.

We had a fairly antagonistic relationship for a few years and then I saw he adopted the saddest looking, underweight black lab (who is now Frank the Tank, world's biggest/happiest derp lab) and I decided that he maybe wasn't a total pool noodle anymore.

 

My wife hated me when we worked together, I was a cocky 18 yo with a mouth and sorry to say a lack of respect for women. She left the place we worked together and I became really good friends with one of her friends that worked there. They were going out for my wife's 23rd birthday and our mutual friend invited me. My wife was pissed but at some point in the night we started talking and talked till the sun came up. We have been together ever since. Some people will never in there life be as lucky as I was that night. That woman changed my life for the better and I owe her everything, true love is rare but I found it in her.
