Also, I know it sucks, but don't check your email constantly for a response, assume that rejection will stand and make it up by doing other work and having a productive day. He's not known for having good communication, anything on TO to the contrary is people marking 5 because they liked the HIT or it was approved, not because they've actually had a ton of communication with the requester.
