This happened to me twice already. Plus I keep getting logged out randomly. I didn't get any emails about my password being changed except when I changed it myself, so I don't think my account was hacked or anything. Not sure what's going on with Amazon or whether this is related to whatever mistake is causing people's accounts to get closed. But it is making me worry a bit.
