Welp, my dog walking nightmare finally happened and an aggressive dog got out of his yard and tried to go full fight club on me and Skeet.

Skeet did not take it well and I had the pleasure of literally picking up my 55 pound dog and basically hurling him inside my door while I screamed for matt to come help me, cause angry dog was literally in my front yard going batshit and skeeter was fully ready to rumble.

So much for a relaxing dog walk to end my day. :emoji_rolling_eyes:

I've been trying to take portraits of my buddy's beloved cat for a while now. Just on principle in case I got a good one. His feline friend is very old and quite ill now (although perfectly comfortable at this point), and I thought it would be a good idea. My results have disappointed me until today. While visiting them, the perfect situation suddenly appeared, and I got both of them in this wonderful incredibly relaxed back and forth 'love' moment. ( :

I only have that problem with my little dog. She thinks she's a stone cold killer and will fight any dog. I gotta grab her up off the ground and try to hold back some other dog. I had my oldest dog and her on a walk and this other couple came by with their dog and it freaked out on my old guy for some reason and the little one just went berserk trying to protect him. All the other dogs kinda see him as the pack leader for reason and just have this respect for him. Maybe it's because I spoil him a bit more than the rest since he's so old and blind and deaf, so they think he's higher up the chain. Dogs are pretty hierarchical.

I used to always be kinda worried about taking my big boy out for walks for that reason until I was at the park and some random dog came running up looking start shit. I was trying to pull Titan back, but he planted himself and there's only so much I can with a 200 lbs animal. He just stepped on the dog and kinda pinned him down and started licking his face. Titan didn't even see the dog as a threat, he wanted play. Most people have dogs that are 50lbs or less, so Titan just doesn't care since they can't really hurt him. The owner came running up and tried talking shit to me for letting my dog "attack" his dog because of course I'm the piece of shit. Titan was just standing next to me wagging his tail like, "Hey, I thought we were gonna play." Guy was so clueless.

When I take him to the dog park, lots of other dogs get scared of him, so I've had to ask people if I can put in the puppy pen because he's so gentle with other dogs and puppies just want to play with him. He loves it. Kinda feel bad for him with the other adult dogs though because they just don't want to play with him and I can tell he seems kinda sad. He's a lot like a Labrador actually.

If you'll all indulge me in one last post to let me feel 'caught up' after my absenteeism this week, I was wondering if the "70's Ballad" HIT was ever brought up. I thought that was one of the most amusing HITs I'd ever seen. I wound up having the song "on the tip of my tongue", and every day since I can 'hear it' a little better in my brain. But I still can't remember the words exactly, and don't know who sang it. Did someone here 'get' it? ( :
P.S. That 'celebrity' photo I posted was due, in part, because I think the 'Bob' (Coincidence! Ha!) hairstyle is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

tfw my brother doesn't know how to tighten a drill chuck and he is now using screws to mount stuff directly to the drywall. (Not studs.. they don't have a stud finder)

The hit says it will take 30-60 minutes.

Skeet is mostly fine with other dogs and loves huge dogs, he does well at the dog park and we dog sit all the time for our friends, but he’s definitely house protective and I’m guessing because of his past situation, he doesn’t like aggressive dogs around him or anyone he perceives as his family. He’ll be totally cool until some dog growls at me, and then he’s super pissed off. I keep him on leash pretty much all the time he’s not in a fenced off area and I can control him well enough- it was just basically impossible when the other dog was so up in our grills that I got scratched up a bit too.

Frank is bigger than Skeeter by a good 40+ pounds, but a huge marshmallow and Skeeter is super protective over him, me, and even the cats. I can’t blame Skeeter for losing his cool when another dog bites him and won’t leave us alone as I’m dragging him off. I feel kinda bad cause Skeeter thought he was in a ton of trouble and was cowering under the desk. He’s tail wagging now, but he was on the verge of an anxiety attack earlier and I felt awful.

I’m glad Skeeter and Frank are such good buddies because Skeeter was terrified of everyone for awhile but Frank just barreled in and made friends with him day 1 that I took him home.
