Snow forms when a boy crystal of ice and a girl crystal of ice, together in their home in the clouds, love each other very much and stick together to become snowflakes. Then they have a family of little baby ice crystals. Once they create a sufficiently massive brood of child crystals, all residing together in close proximity, they'll become heavy enough to fall to the ground.

Why is this occurring in April? Why, plainly the meteorological conditions in the atmosphere are such, regardless of the precise placement of our temporal existence within the Gregorian calendar, as to facilitate the close bonding of said crystals of ice. It's a beautiful and yet strangely fleeting representation of nature, albeit one which may lead to gnashing of teeth, wailing, school closings, delays in commute times, and a whole host of other physical and emotional hardships.
