    I think I may just blow off work today and go shopping. Half the people just decided to take an extra day off and the half of us are pretty much useless from eating/drinking too much yesterday.

    If you paid more than 1k on your self-employment income last year - you're required to do quarterly payments or you'll be forced to pay a penalty (it's not that high).

    If you didn't pay more than 1k in taxes in self-employed earnings last year - then you won't have to this year

    i don't know what i'm talking about and am not a tax professional though. This is just what I've gathered.
