pretty sure they meant to name the HIT "Web of LIes!"

 

Long ago he had HITs that paid really well. Batches of 'em. But they had a password and only the first turker to accept the first HIT in a batch would get the password. It was then up to them to share it with others if they wanted.

@turks24 in his infinite wisdom figured it'd be a good idea to tell a whole forum full of people that I had the passwords to the batches (I didn't). My inbox was then flooded with every person who had thus far never once spoken a word on the forum (and certainly never talked to me before they thought I could give them free money).

And months later that douche posted a paper explaining that the whole experiment was to sit on forums & see how Turkers interacted with each other. So he baited turks into signing me up to a SPAM list for his own shits & giggles and is now forever on my "if I meet you in real life I'm kicking you straight in the balls as hard as I can" list until he forks over $100, which I consider appropriate compensation for my pain & suffering.
