    That is something like light fluorescent imaging that can be used to identify cancer cells during removal if it is what I'm thinking of. I'll google it when I get a minute.

    Nah, good for you too. He's a scientist for Microsoft, so probably well off if not rich, we don't want his high priced legal team putting you in jail for assault since all you could get was some wet behind his ears public defender who had 3 minutes to review your case.

    They also use it to identify things like tears/structures/etc. It's easier to see that way :)

    They also sometimes inject the patient with a chemical (usually radioactive I think) that will show up on the scanner so they can identify if certain functions are happening/aren't happening in the body.

    Yeah, contrast can be used in imaging, but it since it rarely seems to be a thing in these full color images, I typically ding them. When it's flashing and then goes back, I think it's a mistake.
