Never realized how common online dating is/was in younger people. I thought it was for desperate people in their 40s and up who didnt want to die alone lol. I always used social media as the place for online booty calls and finding FWB situations.

 

Well, crap. It's 60 degrees out, yet we're forecasted to get like 8 inches of snow coming at midnight. So, I've got to get to the gym now. And again before the storm hits. Oh, and I should probably pick up food at some point since they don't plow for days. Ugh.

Pretending to work while talking to cute boys will have to wait.

It was great cause we dated for over a month and the minute he sealed the deal he walked out of my place and blocked me on his phone and fb. 2 years later on a different dating site he tried to say I must have him confused...10 minutes after my response he had unblocked me on fb. He had done something real shitty to me the couple years before too so I was particularly pissed. Matt ran into him at one point, that was fun! The look of comprehension a he suddenly yelled, "THAT FUCKING GUY?!" Good times folks! I did have a rule that if my dog hated a guy/girl I called it off cause my otherwise friendly dog tried to murder this guy upon meeting him and was probably thinking, "Grinch, I told you!"

But hey, get your cute guy fun times on! You definitely deserve it.

It's hard to meet people outside of your social group sometimes that you might want to date. I was with the same person for basically all of college and when I moved to adult town it was a lot harder to just meet someone randomly so online dating was a good way to mingle. I could suddenly chat with someone I might like from 20 minutes down the road I would only have met by freak chance otherwise. Even though Matt and I had known each other in college I can't say we would have reconnected without him seeing me on POF and being like, I wonder if she would say yes to my date this time, I should give her a call. We had both lived in different cities for awhile too so probably wouldn't have known we were in the same area again otherwise.
