Very sorry to hear. I lost my Grandmother in January and I certainly have gone through something similar. She was 89 and had Parkinson's that was getting progressively worse. It was difficult to see her in the condition she was in at the end, I could not talk to her and it appeared like she was trapped in her body. I hope you find solace soon.
