Description: Our organization is developing a free tool that's designed to assist people as they attempt to develop new, useful daily habits (such as starting an exercise practice, adopting a healthier diet, practicing a new skill every day, etc.). We are currently testing a broad variety of behavior change tactics that may or may not appear in the final tool. If you're looking to change your daily routine, you may find participation in this study both helpful and interesting.

This study will consist of 4 surveys. You will be paid individually for each survey you complete:

First, you will take an initial survey which establishes some basic facts about you & the new habit you'd like to form, and which may introduce you to some tactics intended to assist your efforts to form it. You will then spend the following week attempting to practice your new habit every day. You'll be reminded about your habit and any tactics you were assigned every day by email.

At the conclusion of a week, you'll receive a second, follow-up survey via email. This survey will ask about how well your behavior change efforts went, as well as some questions about the efficacy of any individual tactics you may have been asked to try. This survey is mandatory for all study participants.

At the end of the second survey, you will be given the opportunity to opt into taking a third survey. This additional survey is shorter than the other two. If you agree, you will again be prompted to complete the survey a week later (2 weeks after the beginning survey). As noted above, you will be paid separately for completing this third survey.
