    It's not...if the critical consensus is anything to go by. If anything the previous GoW game was, God of War Ascension. I'll try to wait a couple weeks. This game reinvents the franchise.

    Gaming "journalism" is and always has been a joke. Games that are absolute trash get 5/5 ratings because the devs pay off IGN or whatever. Always judge by my own standards, because clearly gaming "journalists" have none.

    It's tough simply because I've been playing since the first game came out on PS2 in like 2005 (I think). So it's one of my favorite series over the past couple decades. Normally I'd wait a bit for black friday or with PC games a steam sale, etc.
