Not assuming. I just remember from last time.

Again, I'm not judging. Whoever finishes first (and gets approved) is what counts on mturk. My whole point was that times are going to wildly vary for that hit.

Honestly mturk just isn't the right platform for their hits. I spent an hour on it and that was still half assing those type of questions. Most of them could easily be 20 page papers in a 100 level quantitive methods class.

Can vouch for this too - I picked three questions, two of which I was already intimately familiar with. There were VERY easy questions that you could honestly answer with 2-3 articles. I was able to do my hit in like 25 minutes.

People who complete this stuff fast aren't necessarily putting low effort in. There are a multitude of reasons why someone may be much faster than you at this.

The hit itself even specified 3-4 sentences iirc. How much research can you include in such a small amount of sentences?

 

Its a prediction hit, they dont want you to earn a degree in every subject before you answer each question, they want you to search a little, find some information then make a prediction based off the information you found.

Its fine if you want to spend an hour+ on it but I dont think its fair to chastise people for doing exactly what the HIT is asking them to do.
