The question limit is, I think, 30 seconds, but if you click the "I'm here shut up" button then there's no limit after that. Also, if you disconnect from a game for not playing, you can just click back in and rejoin the same game, and I don't think the 30 second timer activates again until the next question, so it's entirely possible to get stuck with an opponent that doesn't do anything for several minutes each question.

It's a bummer, but there isn't a super good answer to the problem, other than paying out the answerer without finishing the round, which also isn't great for the requester. On the bright side, you can sometimes sneak in on a questioner who dropped out after 19 questions, ask 1 question and then the guess and you're all done in ~30 seconds.

I can definitely look into it. Right now, if a person takes more than 30 seconds for their turn, we give them a popup asking if they're still present; however, they can click a button to dismiss the popup.

I could make it so that the popup can only come up so many times in a turn before a person is booted from the game. Do you have an opinion or alternative suggestion?

The requester got back to me, anyone have any better ideas??

We're still paying on my Bachelor's and my husband's Master's. If it all works right, my loans will go into deferment and that'll pay for part of each class. So then the interest would be paid during that time, and if I get lucky and I can keep up what I am already paying in addition to affording classes as I go, we can pay extra on the principle and get rid of those other loans faster. I never realized how moving money around from one place to another could really make that much of a difference rather that just paying straight up. Crazy.

 

They should seriously stop some of these people from playing.
