I've made sushi rice, I've made sashimi. I've never fiddled with the actual bamboo mat, rolling it to look pretty dealio so at worst it will look janky but taste delish. I do not eat sushi as I'm crazy allergic to things like seaweed but Matt is a fan so, here I am.

Lol, well, if you want to get all technical, sushi actually refers to the cooked vinegar rice and cooking just means to prepare ingredients into a dish, if I was gonna be technical.

I love that! I've made sashimi before and nigiri with a towel not a mat. I'm making maki too so I'm a little bit nervous because normally I just take him to a sushi place and let him have at it but I'm trying to be romantic. I know I can make it tasty but pretty is another thing.
