Has anybody done this? Are we supposed to keep the HIT up for the whole time or something?

 

"After surveying several options, we empirically examined two such platforms, CrowdFlower (CF) and Prolific Academic (ProA). In two studies, we found that participants on both platforms were more naïve and less dishonest compared to MTurk participants. Across the three platforms, CF provided the best response rate, but CF participants failed more attention-check questions and did not reproduce known effects replicated on ProA and MTurk. Moreover, ProA participants produced data quality that was higher than CF's and comparable to MTurk's. ProA and CF participants were also much more diverse than participants from MTurk."

Go Prolific, i guess? Also non-naive my ass. Maybe survey requesters should stop using the same 'deceptions' we've seen dozens of times before.

 

I hope not, because I submitted it out of reflex. :/ I'm going to do the follow-up surveys and probably email them to make sure that's okay.

 

Just keep it in your queue for 5 days and on the fifth the survey they give you will have the code to submit it.

Anyone else fuck with these? My qualifier hit took 8 minutes and I can only see myself getting faster. Seems like the program does a good portion of the work for you

Caught this on Panda, got excited....then realized I didn't read the description and I'm 3 years too late Not a fun thing to wake up to. Although apparently I accidentally left the correct Wills running during my nap and managed to grab 4 win some loose some i guess

 

Only stupid people give good results? I mean as a requester they pay you to not miss attention checks, so everyone is gonna produce similar results because at the end of the day everyone wants to get paid. I only give higher quality answers to prolific because I'll see a .25 survey on Mturk and that same survey on prolific is easily a pound. I wonder if they knew just how many people from mturk were on those other platforms would they have the same article?
