05/29 - Tinted Tuesday!

I had this same issue, I kept getting a message to update but the button was missing. When I went to the extension manager on Chrome the page didn't display like the above image. For it to display this way, I needed to turn on developer mode in the upper right corner. I was then able to update from that page.

Oh yeah, developer mode. I've probably got that turned on... @WimpLo turn on developer mode and try to update it.

 

I think it was one of those dumbass moves where they ask you a million stupid questions and then stick in some f'ed up situations just to get you with an attention check - they need to get over that shit
