I've had occasion to help my cousin with his homework several times and stuff's so dumbed down it's actually over complicated(in my opinion at least.) Also, dunno about the other states, but going to school in South Carolina was actually awful. On one hand the curriculum is kinda bad, but otoh we had students whose reading level was so low, in middle school the biggest section we had for books was for people on a 5th grade and under reading level while all poor me at a college level had was super beat up classics. Still have a soft spot for The Swiss Family Robinson, though.

 

Compared to 2017, do you think Mturk has gotten better or worse?

i honestly found testing and most of material either too easy or what they thought i was missing i had alrdy taken. i did like that i was allowed to pick more career like classes (shop, business, healthcare. i suspect this depends on funding, county, State etc) cause my school overseas was pretty straight and narrow on you are Science track BLOW SOMETHING UP in chemistry, or Administration, all the management stuff.....and the end of options.

I don't know if its still like that here, but when I was stationed in Hawaii schools were out on I think tuesdays cuz they couldn't afford to pay the teachers 5 days a week.

I think Arizona is near the bottom in test scores across the nation unfortunately, last I checked we were in the low 40s
