We don't have a huge flea population out here either.

Poor Bearnie is deeply allergic to most flea meds and fleas so we bagged our clothes and put them outside. We aren't taking a damn chance. We had a nasty flea rebellion last year and it took so long to eradicate them all. It was horrid.

The realtor has dogs too, so she was flipping out as much as we were. The owner's daughter was convinced we were bullshiting her no less.

 

See if you'd had enough tequila beforehand, this would not have been an issue. They'd have bit, got drunk, and passed out before you had a chance to bring them home.

Oh YUK YUK YUK !!! The new owners of our apartment complex put out "beauty bark" into the flower beds instead of doing some light weeding and setting out a few annuals. I've lived here 18 years and never had anything more exciting than a few pesky flies, the occasional mosquito, or misguided ant. Now my house is near to consumed with those NASTY little critters ... places flea bombs and collars on the shopping list. ... You can place flea collars in the bottom of a sofa between the seat and the fabric that seals off the underside. The flea collar does irs thing and little kids can't get at the collars.
