Blush and eye shadow and stuff that's in a compressed powder can shatter into pieces when dropped. I was NONE TOO PLEASED to open my new, more expensive than I'll admit, fancy blush to have it in a bagillion little powdery pieces instead of a nice, compressed block. Hmmph. If you're lucky, that won't happen, but I've had my fair share of powder nightmares. When it's my fault, at least it was my fault. Watching someone toss my preciouseses like a frisbee royally ticked me off.

My ups guy here is super careful with my sephora boxes and I made him cookies because of it!

However.
Now I get a tiny bowl. And a tiny spatula. No I don't, but ideally. Let's pretend I had those. And dump the powder in there and pour a little rubbing alcohol in, not a lot, just enough to bind it, mix it up, spatula it back in, pat it down with my teeny tiny pretend spatula (my fingers) and press it with a cloth, so it has that nice crisscross thing and is completely flat. The alcohol evaporates and you're left with the pressed powder back in the pan

I make Matt do that for me lol.

I also make him de-pot things in general for me. And recently, i made him get all the foundation out of a shitty bottle that is too hard to use (but I love the stuff) and put it in my nice pump bottle (for a foundation that oxidizes too much) that I also got him to sterilize for me.

This is how I utilize his tools. I mean, I could do that myself, but ...effort. Easier to bug him and flatter him for having steady hands.
