My stepmom decided to throw all ours out cause they were "silly." Also, a bunch of childhood photos that she sensed my mom took or was in.

She didn't ask first.

This is not a theory argument. It's a basic math/budgeting problem. I've had a couple monthly income jobs.

How are emergencies any different on monthly income than they are on a bi-weekly one? If you don't have savings when you get paid every two weeks you're still not going to be able to afford things regardless of how often you get paid. If any emergency happens like a $1000 timing belt replacement, roof repair, water heater, etc.. most peoples bi-weekly checks aren't going to be able to afford those costs.

What I'm saying is that you don't have to wait a week to get paid, because you already have that money. You have a large sum already available to you, so unless you're horrible with managing your spending you should already have that money in the bank instead of having to wait for a small check to cover those costs.

The thing is, if you really love getting paid every two weeks then put your money in your savings account and transfer half of it into your checking account every two weeks if that makes you feel better. The only difference between getting paid every month or every two weeks is how you budget.
