    Oh yeah, I've had access to all my dad's finances for a while now and it absolutely amazes me how he spends money like tomorrow's never going to come. Part of it is poor judgement from constant drinking, though, which is also what soaks up most of his money.

    At least you're aware you have an issue and are trying to get on track, that's more than a lot of people can say.

    We looked at mortgages through a few different places, and my finances were "expected," while multiple places were convinced Matt had a freeze on his credit or something, because of his lack of outstanding loans and whatever.

    Matt was sitting there in his usual attire of cargo pants with holes and dirty t-shirt, and the bank guy kept looking at matt's info, back to matt, matt's info again, BACK TO MATT.

    It was amazing. I was trying not to laugh hysterically the whole time. I think the guy thought Matt had fake info for a solid 10 minutes.
