    My mturking machine has a AMD Phenom II x3 720 BE and 8 gigs of ram. A 240 gig ssd, and a 1 tb hdd. A bit old, but its fine for most tasks.

    Apple hasn't updated ANY of their computers in over a year outside of $5k mac pro. I wouldn't touch those security disasters with a ten foot pole.

    Apple updates the OS with both features and security updates. You're talking hardware, which hasn't been updated in forever. I don't use mac, but lets at least argue with facts ;)
