this is actually what i do, but not to impress anybody, just to make it more palatable to anyone unfamiliar with crowdsourcing. it's super easy to say that amazon has a platform where people can qualify to work on things like sorting through pinterest and youtube to tag content, categorize, flag as inappropriate, etc, and other data projects and academic work from major universities and companies. i'll usually mention transcriptions too since that's my thing.

the key is to say "qualify" enough times to avoid the inevitable "ohhhh can you teach me????"
