Even IF he's right & they dead srs can't afford more than $2/hit (which I don't believe) - why not put in ANY amount of time into improving worker QoL? Those hits are a fucking disaster. You can't take an afternoon to fix some formatting?

Guess not, since the one time they tried they actually made it worse AND broke it, but gimme a break. There is always SOMETHING you can do, they've consistently shown zero effort or give a shit for workers.

Honestly I don't see this qual being worth my time practically ever from the way this is going, so I'm going to freely speak my mind

 

They are undervaluing everyone who works for them by thinking we are all Reddit monsters that think 9$ an hour on mturk is unbelievable. Why is it that bar-none the most high effort work I have ever done on mturk pays me less than a task where I simply write a sentence to a robot, or a task where I drive a bunny in a car to a destination? Come to think of it, if they didn't have all of this mturk clout for the fact that they USED to be awesome, would people even care?

Anything below 11 dollars an hour on turkerview I return. The game is different now. We don't have to do shit work for no pay.

And I guarantee you they can afford the exact same rate that they used to. What changed? What's their overhead? They're lazy, don't check work, then turn it around and punish the worker for bad data. They want automated money, and now their customers are getting pissed at them for being lazy and they're scratching their lazy heads and trying to get us to help them find a way to continue being lazy.
