You probably do...you just don't notice...lol I didn't think I did either, until I hear myself in a recording.

 

I just have a twang that slips out on occasion, and of course the hood that slips out when I get heated. (Missouri)

 

You should post a vid of you just saying the word Mississippi. I know a girl from there and her accent sounds like a slow moving river of maple syrup under a boiling hot sun.

 

I'm from WV and I often don't think I have an accent either, not like the 'movie' accents all WV natives are tagged to have.

Yes! In a recording of my voice, I can hear a slight twang here and there that I don't normally catch, but drunken me... phew... I pull some heavy accent out of thin air and I'm not sure why.

 

I mean yeah I'm sure I probably would to a buncha yankees. It definitely wouldn't be as bad as some people I know though.

 

My husband is from Missouri, and the way he said antennae was the most bizarre thing I've ever heard, and he didn't know anyone said it any differently. I'm not sure if it's a statewide thing, or just something he picked up locally.

He *use* to say an-tan-uh.

 

Matt says my NY accent comes out when I'm super pissed off and he knows to run far, far away. I get a little southern twang when I'm trying to butter up people.

And then the rest of the time it's just chirping.
