    Does anyone have experience catching a feral cat? There is one that I keep seeing around my house and I've put food out for it a few times. It's sitting right under a bush in front of my window right now, but every time I get close it runs away :emoji_slight_frown:

    Around my house the rescues will give you a trap for a deposit (so you bring it back) and teach you how to use it. Try calling some of the rescues?

    All mine are ferals I lured in with my crazy cat lady ways.

    Like @lefty said, live traps work well (though you may catch another, unintended feral) and I've also lured countless sad ferals into kennels with food before as well.

    Ferals are very skittish, especially if they've been outside for long periods of time. Bearnie used to crawl under my dishwasher to avoid people he was so terrified of all humans.
