If he wants on the other side bad enough, a border collie will hop that sucker lol. It also depends on training too I'd wager. 99% of the time, Skeeter won't hop a shorter fence even if he can, but we had an incident where he broke out of the airport because HE AND FRANK SMELLED HOTDOGS DOWN THE ROAD. They did some circus level acrobatics to get out too. Frank isn't so good at jumping things...cause 95 pound lab, but Skeet is a catahoula mix and holy crap, they will find a way to climb anything.

I think they're still alright, but yeah, they aren't the greatness they once were without Watts, En Esch, and Gunter.

Also they mostly played their newer music instead of their 80s/90s classics, so meh. It was alright but Ohgr was better.

 

Thank you, I'll cancel the purchase. I had found it on Facebook Marketplace for $25 so I figured I would check.

Of course stay isn't being taught in training until Saturday, which is the 3rd week of class. I wish that was a week one thing.

Oh man, all names I haven't heard in so long.

Besides Combichrist, I saw them open for Rammstein a few years back. Goood show.

 

I used to have the biggest man crush on Skold.

 

I think it would slow him down, and I'd go with a lot of positive reinforcement for not jumping it. I mean, really shower that love and treat on him for staying behind it. I had to do that with Skeet, so that he wouldn't constantly bolt out the door as well. Over time, he decided he much preferred love and jerky over being ignored or sitting in his kennel cause he couldn't be trusted enough.

I'll try showering him with love to stay behind. I do have a regular wooden gate I can try that with if he would jump either. I wish I wasn't renting or I would install a door to the kitchen(it goes house -> kitchen -> front door) since then I would have a "decompression" zone that would make it so much safer, especially since there is a frame for a door that was painted over

 

I saw Rammstein too! I forget the tour but it was Mudvayne, Rammstein, System of a Down. Rammstein, one dude was wearing a crazy suit that shot water out if it and another dude shot fire and that was awesome. The bass player for System of a Down took his pants off and I saw his weiner, not awesome. Mudvayne drummer was on a hydraulic lift that turned sideways and spun around in a circle while he was strapped into and played.

I feel ya man. Renting is the butts, especially when the layout isn't helpful for containing the puppers.

I also taught Skeet a specific signal that meant, "I'm leaving, but I'll come back!" (I legit have a little bell for this) and over time, he realized that I would come back. I'm not sure if your little guy has seperation anxiety and maybe that's contributing? Occasionally, Skeet tries to bolt from excitement or just trouble making (he wants to run up and down the front yard lol), but most of the time it was down to the fact he didn't want me to leave him behind and was very worried I would not come back.
