I had to do some math to figure out how this worked with my being a premie.

Apparently, my parental unit was frisky sometime around thanksgiving. Noice.

Ahem, on the 26th of July, the wizards of the hospital said, "Aye! For she is small and unahppy, we must induce!" To the hospital, my mother they rushed. "Not for hours, maybe even days, will the bird come! No need for a labor and delivery room yet." tsked the nurses. But, OH, they had not yet met the Bird. Not yet 30 minutes on the clock later, my mother rose with a clatter, "I think the bird is about to hatch!" she yelled. "Nonsense," said the nurses, "you're just full of gas. worry not, for birbs don't come out so early!" But then, another shriek, and the birb refused to stay in her shell any longer. Faces shocked, the nurses and doctors scurried, while Birb was flopping in a hallway, already committed to being always early. At a fighting 4 pounds, 8 oz- the birb was not yet truly ready to leave the shell (although she firmly believed herself so), and was rushed to a fake shell, where she lived (in a very agitated manner) for several months. And this was how the Birb was birthed. For all of time, will she never be late and will never be defeated by the expectations of humans.
