As a background to this joke, I love flowers (I love daisies and violently hate roses) and Matt hates buying flowers/cards so will usually make a point to plant them for me/make me cards/pull over on the side of the road to pick highway daisies lol. Recently, the owner of the cabin we are buying bragged about how his wife wanted flowers on the porch but he just lied and said he would put some wine barrel planters out and never did because, "I'm not doing that shit."
