    True that. They always bring up the past too. As if a 13 year old in 1692 is the same as a 13 year old in 1692. Things change, boys of 12 used to fight wars but I've never seen anyone try to justify recruiting child soldiers.

    I think I've been pretty open about this in the past, but my stepmom is 6 years older than I am. So is my sister. They went to the same high school. I have known her almost my whole life.

    She "fell in love," with my dad when she was very young, and while he didn't act on it (sexually) till she was like 17, it is still horrific and was grooming on his part, because he absolutely encouraged the attentions of a young girl and was dating her before she graduated highschool. Why her parents didn't do shit, I'll never know. It's 100% disgusting. I am deeply ashamed and not ok with it, and I will never ever ever ever look the other way when some dude in his 30s in dating a 17 year old. I That shit ain't right. (and vice versa) I've literally seen how shitty it is in person. She has never been with anyone else, she turned into the exact person he told her to be, and I think it's super sad. She did not have a normal young adulthood, no she was not "more mature for her age," and I just...cannot with people who try and tell me it's ok. I am very, very ashamed of that shit. I left home and didn't really look back for a reason folks.
