See, I let the squirrely friends join in, but I give them fruits and veggies to nom on. I'd say if you ever have leftovers, toss them out for the squirrels and they'll love you and be cool without the bird food, but lol @ the idea of you having normal food. Please don't feed them your crockpot slop. I had a little chipmunk straight up heist an entire suet feeder one day and I was just like, hell yeah bro, good job, you earned that shit. And I usually have a billion sunflowers around my house, but a family of bunnies ate the shit out of them as they were growing, so rip but yay bunny friends. I was literally watching them on my camera thinking "Aww, enjoy! I definitely planted those and tended to them just for you!"

My great uncle who used to babysit me when I was little used to sit on the back porch and caw for hours so crows would come around. He'd have full murders (that's the term for a "flock" of crows, not actual murders) just chillin and he'd caw at them like they were his damn spirit animal or something. I was always like oooookie dokieee... but I'll be damned if I'm not out there making stupid ass noises to get any creature around. I have a ton of hummingbirds and they have started coming around even when I'm outside and I take that as a great compliment. After they eat and fly away, I'm like "Tell your friends! I'll have more tomorrow!"
