Reminds me of a chat I had with a 30 something about 8 years ago when I was playing doom. He went on this long tirade about how kids today have it easy with the internets and how when he first played doom it was on dialup and his phone bill ended up being like $300 that month from all the doom playing

 

IRCs are very much still alive if that is what you mostly used BBS for.

Yeah, my friends and I would make a bunch of doom maps and play on those all night.

I use IRC a little these days. I used BBS for games, chat, downloading things that I probably shouldn't have been downloading.

 

Well the downloading part still exists through irc xdcc... but obviously in a slightly more modern way.

There is no real way for MTS to accurately decide what is a survey and what is a batch so no.

 

Haven't seen these in a little while.

 

I suppose an option to turn off the toggle so that it is like how mturk normally is would work.. but meh it isn't that big of a deal for me.
