    Serious question, from a guy who does not science, won't the earth be ruined long before we have the technology to ever communicate/ travel to/ explore/ understand another planet? I mean we have run this beast into the ground in only 100 years of industrialization. How long will it take us to develop these technologies in a best case scenario?

    Should we send some vinyl their way now with some current music on it and Donald trumps voice greeting them?
