Guys, I sent Matt on his first (half/third) day of work and I'm like a nervous parent. He definitely needs more time off, but he's stubborn and he's already realized he can't do anything stupid cause I've bribed several coworkers of his to make sure he behaves. He's also limited to desk duty, but I so totally had nothing to do with that!

I have to pick him up after lunch and I'm simultaneously happy about having several hours to myself and biting my nails cause I think he's gonna be fully tuckered out by the time I get to him.

Matt: Man, it would have been better if I could have scheduled my doctor's appointment for the same day as physical therapy, then I wouldn't need to take half days for both those.

Me: Yeah...how tragic. It's so weird I couldn't get those scheduled on the same day. You know how doctors are!

 

In my opinion mTurk has never really been consistently busy at the same time every year. It varies. This year so far since the summer, except for Monday and the weekend, mornings have been slow until around sometime between 9 and 11 and then it doesn't slow down for quite some time. I'm hoping it will pick up soon today.

In order to reduce the load on the server, we decided to break the batches into smaller groups.
So now, we will run four batches Today (Tuesday 14th of August) at 11AM, 1PM, 2PM, 3PM ET.
If the games are full or all HITs are consumed before you start the task, please come back for the next scheduled batch and try again. We will compensate you for showing up.

**Part 2 HIT Information**:

- Time: Part 2 of the study will be posted on the 14th of August (tomorrow; Tuesday) at 11AM, 1PM, 2PM, 3PM ET.
- Expected HIT length: 15-35 minutes.
- You have to do the HIT from a computer (laptop, desktop). Mobile devices are NOT supported.

**Part 2 HIT expectations**:
- We will submit the HIT at 11AM, 1PM, 2PM, 3PM ET. You will need to catch the HIT in order to participate.
- In each batch, workers who join the HIT late (after all the games have started in that batch) will receive a message like this: "Sorry, all games are full". Those workers will be paid $0.1 for showing up and they will also be able to participate in the later batches.
