08/18 - Streaming Saturday!

I literally have TTS alerts being pushed while I sleep. If I lived alone I would have it play over speakers but I don't so I currently use bluetooth earbuds. I used to use an app that pushed the audio to my phone over wifi and wired headphones.

 

Not everyone is quite that hardcore. However, I keep my bedroom door shut and speaker on as I get up anyway every few hours. The joys of being old. yes. NOT. Otherwise, I wouldn't do that.

 

all this is good advice even when I take a break my watchers are usually still running incase something really good drops. Even on days I'm "not working" certain watchers always stay on but that is for things I have quals for that are worth me taking a little time out of my day to do

and listening to music or watching "TV" while doing certain tasks definatly helps

 

I'm way too ADD to do any of that.. rip

 

ugg I would go insane on some batches I just need some background "noise" now other things like surveys that I need to read and comprehends stuff then I have to hit pause and focus but other stuff that I'm using for filler in between I need my music

 

I know everyone's different, but you might be surprised. If you pick something you've seen a million times, I find it keeps my brain more stimulated, and lets me keep up dat grind a lot longer, without taking too much of my active attention.

For me, it might lower my efficiency, technically, but it keeps me going happily a lot longer.

Rewatching Game of Thrones atm, haha.

 

Yeah, same for me. I find myself pausing things a lot when I'm actively having to think or read, but when I'm just kind of in brainless grind mode, it's god-tier.

 

I think rewatching a bunch of shows would probably be a great idea. I have a bunch of shows I never finished that I need to rewatch so I can actually enjoy the show. Downton Abbey, Breaking Bad, and Mad Men or the three that I come to mind. I have two monitors so I can keep it open in the other one. Thanks for the tips guys.

Ya'll doing anything else besides Mturk? I tried Swagbucks earlier this week and it was too hard to get anything resembling a decent ROI. I also do Microsoft Rewards, it doesn't pay anything decent but I enjoy the quizes and stuff.

 

Another thing that helps me get through days where I just do not want to do anything, is micro-goals and rewards. If I don't want to do anything at all, I'll tell myself "okay, grind out a dollar every time you do x". For me, x is getting something done in an MMO, 'cause I'm a nerd. So I'll do a dungeon or two, grind out a dollar, clear a few quests, grind a dollar, etc.

Not the most efficient, but it works for me on those "don't really care" days, and is better than 0 dollars.

 

What MMO do you play? I would love to play a new MMO, last one I was really into was Guild Wars 2.

 

Goal for the day:
clear my que of all the multiday hits that have been sitting in there all week
and chill

 

I'm all about WoW still, haha. New expansion just came out, so it's still fun an exciting for now.

Never played WoW. I played the hell out of Dungeons and Dragons Online though. So you definitely aren't the nerdiest one in the thread.
