I have made this mistake lol. always the last thing you expect.

 

I live in a hotel (mid-level not roach motel). So these contractors (like me) are here, putting in a pipeline. Welders, EOs, etc.

So I like these guys they've kept the shenanigans down b/c they have to get up early. Like some (probably) illegal workers came and wanted to mariachi all over, party, jabber, plus honk their brand new used car horns with the remotes. Until Billy Bob, the angry Ironworker, comes out and shuts them all up

Or the crust-punk kids that somehow afforded this hotel and wanted to sit out all night talking and pacing on their drugs. He came out in his boxers and told them to quiet down, and like 3 skinny Punks get up like they're going to fight, and I don't know what he did but he said something or made a face and they literally left within 10 minutes. Like left the premises never to return

This is a Wyndham hotel. This is not Super 8. It's next door to a Hampton. There's like doctors visiting the University and grad students and well-paid tradesmen staying here, it's a corporate hotel! I swear to god I've stayed in some fleabag motels but this place is solid upper-middle. It's an inside hotel with a huge enclosed courtyard and pool and all that, but some rooms have outside access, there's like a row of suites that have an exit to the outside and the early risers stay in those rooms.

So tonight the meth-head landscapers came by at 9pm and started weed-wacking outside his room then the guy with the blower came by blowing grass clippings. There is a thunderstorm on right now, sheets of rain. Landscaping in the pouring rain. Like they had to blow and blow the wet clippings right next to everyone's room. Woke everyone up and a whole herd of angry blue-collar men emerged, yelling and gesturing.

So JUST NOW, AS I WAS TYPING THIS, a freakin Minivan drives by really slow WITH THE CAR ALARM SOUNDING! Like drove right next to this guy's room again with the horn honking and the lights flashing.

Now all the pipeline workers are up way past their bedtime and they're outside with scowls and arms folded.

That's my story.

 

All the biggest records on this site are held by the www->worker transition time period lol. I doubt we'll ever see glory days like that again.

 

It's all good. I didn't mean that as a dis, I was just curious if you were being sarcastic about the whole Marky Mark thing. <3
