They used to be highly rated on there, looks like someone went salted earth after losing the qual lol.

I'll be the first one to admit though, TV is hot garbage for rating batch type work. Between the poor TVJS support for it & the inherent nature of it not being likely to get people to do honestly / the skill involved in making batch work profitable its just an ugly combination on that site that I yet don't (switch those two words like my brain should have before typing) have great answers for

 

I get myself into trouble every time I mention STR. When will I learn?

I got it by emailing, its like my go-to example of "closed quals don't exist for college educated native english speakers on mturk"

and last time I said that 3 people tried to email & no one got a response so.. LOL

 

I do a lot of thinking about this. I can't decide if it's best left not reviewed/no attempt or something else. A couple thoughts I had were an hourly "range" to ballpark it for people "turkers report 9.15-15.50 an hour on this job depending on (factors)" or maybe having some TV mods go in and do their best without a script and do a trusted review or something. That's all I've come up with so far.

 

I seldom review batches because reviewing the first hit you do in a batch (first time ever ) sucks as far as accuracy and after doing more than one reviewing is no longer an option. I have intentially on a given day done one hit from a batch I reguraly do and quick reviewed it before doing more but this skews towards only reviewing good batches and something, something...ma batches

I review good batches that I don't expect to ever see again (mostly the masters templates), and I try to write enough to where if someone reads it they'll learn about how to identify good batch work or something not really specific to that particular batch (mentioning quals / how I found it / how I improved it / etc) since its likely a one-time deal anyway.

I don't review batches that get shared w/ me, since that's kinda shitty to blow up someone else's work like that, and I tend to not review batches that suck unless I'm SUPER freaking sure lol b/c never know if someone else has found a clever way to make them worth & I wouldn't want to look dumb lol.

Otherwise idk, I just don't think there is much point/value to reviewing batch work. Its way more about learning how to get into that kind of work than the specific HITs unless its highly repetition stuff like Pins that end up community reviewed through sheer volume.

On top of that, big numbers batches aren't something we're seeing a lot of outside of closed quals and hot garbage right now.

fwiw, I don't think anyone has heard from the requester in over a year. I know some people have had problems with blocks and/or rejects, but I've never had one issue with them. Not even a rejection.

And I'm not the most sensitive pig, so I could take it.
