What is qual bait? Like putting up deliberately obtuse and hard to submit batches to see which workers are the best workers?

Yes but they're not actually doing that intentionally. The batch is just that way inherently. It's just got some very easy things to miss that could cost you your qual, and a lot of other frustrating road blocks just due to the area and the housing.

Why am I like this?

Most people will say "because there's nothing else to do". Some people will say "because this is one of the only requesters I regularly work for and not all the work is bad like this". A few will say "this batch is easy. get good scrubs".

But I will say: "I'm not anymore".

 

I did zero hits today. And I don't plan on doing any. Tomorrow I am going to work 8+ hours straight though.

 

Requester side: I have work to be done, so let me select the best people who are willing to put the effort; I cannot accept even a small mistake though since I am paying more than a generous mturk requester. Since I am generous, I expect my qualled people to be generous while spending time and effort on my HITs.

Worker Side: hey nice money, better I do not shit myself to lose the qual. He is paying lots of money for a reasonable work/job. I should be more careful while doing his HITs.

Hwt - Questionnaire for mothers. $2.67 - AVOID!

Announces a brief screener and then has you fill out a page of questions. Then goes to a consent form (leading one to believe they are in the survey) where it says you will be paid $4 instead of the $2.67. Then takes you thru many long pages of 20 questions or more and 13 minutes of bubble hell, a page where you have to mark on a body drawing that looks like an autopsy form where you feel the most pain and then takes you thru more questions, including an AC that spans multiple pages and then demos to tell me "Unfortunately, you did not meet the inclusion criteria for our study.
Thank you for taking the time to answer the previous questions."
