I tried to do the whack-a-number thing and after two pages of sound tests it said "Thanks for your help!" with a submit button. Clicked the submit button and it turned the HIT in. Contacted the requester... really hope I don't get rejected. Kind of sucks I didn't even get a fair chance to do the best HIT i've caught all day...

Almost nothing that has an IRB / consent form is ever interested in "free work" in the sense that its used to insinuate a "scamming requester" - even then its still a pretty weird notion. The requester has to fully fund his/her account w/ money prior to work being done as if its all to be paid/approved, and its difficult to get it back out (must be done manually through a support ticket & is not guaranteed to be approved) in the form of liquid cash.

There are certainly some money laundering HITs that have shown up, and some jerk requesters, but the majority of rejection instances for IRB approved work or work uploaded by a brick/mortar business or named startup is generally just poor communication, unrealistic expectations of the platform/its workforce, or other dumb stuff not necessarily out of malice.
