08/27 - Malfunction Monday!

so glad I overslept this morning

 

I've got a pair of these, same style, different color and I'm pretty happy with them. They aren't really great as work boots, because they lack a bit in comfort and protection (to a degree). What are you wearing them for?

 

walking to places, usually a mile or less, and taking the bus. I go through normal shoes and sneakers really fast because I don't have a car. I've had shoes last 2 weeks before they fall apart.

I think it's more taking care of someone than anything. Marriage is weird like that. You feel the obligation to do stuff instead of just trying to be chivalrous to get laid.

I figured

I either carry a large purse or just strap on keds and tell matt to shut his trap lol. He used to piggy back me around the airport during formal events (heels in wet grass are just bullshit) when I basically had to wear heels for my job at the time. He also bought me very nice heels that were comfortable so that he wouldn't feel guilty about asking me to wear them (dance killed my knees bigtime). I feel awkward making him carry my shoes, but I'll let him buy me designer kicks that don't hurt my tootsies as much if he wants to

He has this coworker who is obsessed with the "real man," thing and it's just become very annoying now lol. I wear a men's cologne sometimes because I got a sample, thinking it was the lady version, and I really liked it so I wear it a bunch. Matt's coworker complimented me and said I smelled nice, and when I made a joke about my dude scent, he then commented how he is gonna give Matt crap for liking me in men's cologne (cause that's somehow not manly of him), and makes jokes about how people should ask me what scent I'm wearing. Bro...it's orange and smells nice. Who gives a damn if it was the men's scent? That's just too insecure to be reasonable

Once you get these broken in, they should do the job. And if you do some minor upkeep, they'll last a long time. Not sure where you are, but if it rains or snows much, make sure to get the soles with the tread as opposed to the flat cork soles. I think it's recommended to double check your actual foot size with one of those foot measuring contraptions and then buy 1/2 to 1 size smaller so the boot isn't too big after it's broken in.
