@StuffAlleySays update from yesterday - I didn't intentionally change the auto-approve time, but it's possible that my autoapprover is taking more time than usual. (in any case, my process is to autoapprove everyone's HITs and automatically pay the bonus, and then give feedback to everyone periodically. speaking of which... I'll try to give people feedback today )

Are you blocked from all his hits? It may just be a soft block on the 1 hit. I told him exactly what you said about liking them when they work, I have a hard block now. I'd just leave him alone and move on.

 

Based on the instructions in the HIT (I just looked), I have been marking these as smoke. My guess is that we are teaching and AI to do smoke detection work, so smoke is smoke.

Now I am confused- I thought the purple panda was when we were either capped/had already done the hit or didn't have the right qual and a block was when it turned black.

 

I was more concerned I did something wrong than with the actual time, but the time is nice. Don't change a thing @rowan , you do you!

it used to be black, but it went to purple/unqual'ed when we switched to worker because of the way worker handles it now, as is my understanding.

the block message on www was something like "a requester has chosen to prevent you from accepting this--" and on worker it's the same as the "you don't have this qual" warning. so pandacrazy sees it the same way and it turns purple. mturk no longer tells you if you're blocked by a requester, you kind of have to figure it out yourself. the only way to do that is to see that you're technically qualified for it, but it still turns purple.
